2025 Kitchen Inspiration and Trends Forecast

It’s a new year and for some, it may be time for a new kitchen! If you’re planning a kitchen remodel for 2025, here are five trends that will help you make some informed decisions.

  1. Colors/Materials– Grays and bright whites are out. Warmth and natural materials are in. Anywhere that you add wood tones, natural stone textures, earthy paint colors, and organic textiles will help to push you in the right direction.
  2. Features

Here are some popular features that will help create a stunning focal point or add the touch of luxury you are hoping for.

  • Range Alcoves– adds character, extra storage, and an array of decorative personalizations including tile, stone slabs and even hand painted backsplashes
  • Feature Range Hoods– metallic finishes, decorative tiles, and plaster are among the most sought after options
  • Ceiling Finishes– beams, tongue and groove, wallpaper, and coffered are just a few of the available possibilities
  • Paneled Appliances– a beautiful way to blend your appliances with your cabinetry for a sophisticated and seamless look
  1. Flooring– Wood is still hugely popular while tiled styles are gaining traction. Don’t think builder grade square tiles but more natural stone aesthetic set in stylistic lay patterns like herringbone or brick stack.
  2. Countertops- While quartz and granite are going nowhere fast, there’s a new material being used. Porcelain countertops are becoming an attractive alternative due to lower levels of silica in the manufacturing process, its heat and stain resistant qualities, and its ability to be cut very thin which allows for integrated technologies.

Technology- Speaking of porcelain countertops, we are seeing these used for integrated charging stations and cooktops. Some of which are designed in a way that creates an invisible cooktop that only heats up with induction cookware.

Hello! I'm Megan, the author of Home and Holidecor. I am a wife, mama, and interior decorator. Whether I am decorating inside of a home, an outdoor space, or decorating for a party/event, making a space look beautiful and special is what I love to do. To me, decorating is an art form. How you decorate your home, tells your personal and family story. Decorations at your wedding tell your love story. Your dream backyard or garden reveals your personal oasis. I think that's why I love it so much because it's almost like writing a story with furniture, paint, light fixtures, and picture frames. “Your home should tell the story of who you are, and be a collection of what you love,” – Nate Berkus.
