Christmas Dining Room Decor
At Christmas, the room that I focus on the most is my dining area. I just feel like a beautiful table can go a long way towards making a home cozy and inviting for the holidays.
The first thing you may want to consider is creating a theme. Whether it’s just a color scheme or a fully decked out Christmas movie theme, it’s totally up to you. Go crazy! Just pick a theme and stick to it. It gives you a focused, cohesive look for your holiday decorating.
I chose the Red Truck Christmas theme paired with the ever popular buffalo check. It helps me focus when I’m shopping. There are so many adorable decorations these days, it’s easy to get distracted.
On my table, I start with a runner. Then, I add faux garland, candle sticks, and a red truck decoration. That’s it! Super easy.
This was my first time trying out a fancy table setting. I was trying to stick to a budget. I already had the gold chargers. I probably would’ve picked red or green chargers if I had more money to spend 😜. I still think it turned out pretty!
As a bonus, here’s how we decorated my mama’s dining table❤️👇

Hello! I'm Megan, the author of Home and Holidecor. I am a wife, mama, and interior decorator. Whether I am decorating inside of a home, an outdoor space, or decorating for a party/event, making a space look beautiful and special is what I love to do. To me, decorating is an art form. How you decorate your home, tells your personal and family story. Decorations at your wedding tell your love story. Your dream backyard or garden reveals your personal oasis. I think that's why I love it so much because it's almost like writing a story with furniture, paint, light fixtures, and picture frames. “Your home should tell the story of who you are, and be a collection of what you love,” – Nate Berkus.
