Sometimes there’s a room in your house that you just can’t quite figure out what to do with. It can really be helpful to get some fresh eyes on it.

I’ve decided to try something new on my social media accounts called “Mood Board Monday”. I will be creating free inspiration mood boards for my Facebook and Instagram followers!

Follow my Facebook group called “Home and Holidecor” or my instagram account @homeandholidecor. Then, follow the directions under “Mood Board Monday.” Next, fill out the survey here- 👇

The survey gives me a better idea about what your personal design style is, and what you’re looking for. If I need more information, or pictures of your space, I will contact you directly :).

I will be picking one entry every Monday!

Here is an example of a mood board that I recently created for a client.

Note: I know the leather bar stools say, “out of stock.” I included them because the website told me they would be back in stock the following month 👍😊

The idea is to give you an idea for a color scheme, decorations within your budget, ideas for accent walls, lighting, furniture, rugs, etc. For this client, I went with black, white, and leather accents.

Mood boards are helpful because they solidify your ideas, and you can see everything together in a cohesive scheme. Plus, not everyone enjoys Pinteresting and looking online for the perfect decorations (for the perfect price 😉) as much as I do. I’m a little bit of a decor nerd.

Then, if you love your mood board, you have a great jumping off point. If there are items you want to purchase, all you have to do is ask me for the product link 👍.

Have fun with the survey. Give me lots of details. I can’t wait to start helping you with your project!

Hello! I'm Megan, the author of Home and Holidecor. I am a wife, mama, and interior decorator. Whether I am decorating inside of a home, an outdoor space, or decorating for a party/event, making a space look beautiful and special is what I love to do. To me, decorating is an art form. How you decorate your home, tells your personal and family story. Decorations at your wedding tell your love story. Your dream backyard or garden reveals your personal oasis. I think that's why I love it so much because it's almost like writing a story with furniture, paint, light fixtures, and picture frames. “Your home should tell the story of who you are, and be a collection of what you love,” – Nate Berkus.
